With over 94,000 entries, picking a winner of our international CEWE photo contest Our World is Beautiful was a tricky job.
We’ve been overwhelmed by the quality and variety of the images we received, which capture just how beautiful our world really is.
Let’s take a closer look at the victorious photo, as well as the winners of the other main categories.
First Place & Winner of the People Category
Agnieszka Gulczynska took the top prize with this charming photo of her son and their dog. She loves watching her son discover the world, and has captured one of these special moments perfectly in her picture.
Architecture Category
Devid Camerlynck was winner of the Architecture category with his striking photo of the staircase in The Queen’s House in London. Devid’s dream is to visit Iceland to photograph its unique landscape and light.
Landscape Category
Adam Kovác’s picture of two cyclists riding beside a spring field won in the Landscape category. He enjoys photographing landscapes, mountains and people, and advises other photographers to “Never stop looking for new ideas and inspiration.”
Nature Category
Murat Ertem won in the Nature category with this stunning image taken at the Bad Mergentheim zoo. Murat says that the weather on the day was perfect for photography, as the animals really stood out from the snowy background.
Sport Category
Winner of the Sport category was Gábor Máté Pusztai with his photo taken at the Fight Night 3 gala in Békéscsaba, Hungary. As he explains, often the corner of the ring is the setting for actions that are just as engaging as the fight itself.
Transport & Infrastructure Category
Thomas Pedersen took the crown in the Transport & Infrastructure category with his picture of a retro ice cream van in Rhodes, Greece. He positioned his tripod close to the ground to capture every detail, including the cobblestones.
Super photos.
