Back in May 2018, we launched the latest CEWE Photo Award competition… and the results are in!
With 448,152 submissions, the CEWE Photo Award is officially the world’s largest photo competition. All entries were judged by a panel of recognised industry experts, led by Jury President Yann Arthus-Bertrand. The UK jury member was British photographer Christie Goodwin – an established celebrity photographer who has worked with artists such as Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran and Katy Perry
Our competition, which aimed to celebrate the best in photography across the globe, was free to enter and open to everybody – from keen amateurs to established professionals. The theme for entries was ‘Our World is Beautiful’ and there were 10 categories to choose from, including Nature, Animals and People.
As part of the competition, we gave away 250,000 Euros worth of prizes and 10 winners were announced in an exclusive awards ceremony in Vienna on the 26th September 2019. This included a winner from each category, one of these being the overall winner, and a special award selected by Yann Arthus-Bertrand. The amazing response to the CEWE Photo Award also allowed us to donate €44.815,20 to the SOS Children‘s Villages charity, with 10 cents contributed for every entry we received.
