Back to Blog

It’s that time of year again; The Photography Show is returning once again to the Birmingham NEC. Running from 16-19 March 2019, this huge event has something for everyone who loves photography; from talks and demos to a full exhibition centre packed with products and kit from the best names in the industry. As usual, CEWE will be there every single day. We love this yearly event as an opportunity to get out there, meet our customers and chat with people who are passionate about photography.

CEWE at the photography show

We’re bringing with us a whole bunch of photo books and wall art to show you all. So if you’ve ever wondered what all the fuss is about Layflat Binding, or wanted to see our shimmering Highlights in person, this is your chance to get some example photo books in your hands. Pop on by the CEWE stand and say hi! You’ll find us on Stand E21.

Women Who Photo

This year The Photography Show have launched a very special campaign; Women Who Photo, which shines a light on some incredible female photographers and filmmakers making their mark on what are considered by many to be male-dominated industries.

The campaign is supported by industry leaders, such as Sony, Olympus and Panasonic, and of course CEWE. We’ll be proudly printing the featured photographers’ best work to be displayed at the event, for everyone to see and enjoy.

The Photography Show has partnered with a selection of women who work across various areas of the industry, and challenged them to select a piece of work that they have photographed or filmed that makes them feel empowered, which will be displayed at the event. Many of the women involved in the campaign will also lead talks at the show, discussing topics such as creating meaningful images, falling into filmmaking and what can go wrong in photography, alongside a host of technique-based seminars.

You can learn more about the campaign and all of the featured photographers over on the Women Who Photo page. It’s set to be a fantastic addition to this year’s photography show event, and we’re proud to show our support.
